Licenses

License and activation

How do I activate my license?

Enter your email and your license LIC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX in the app. Activation links the license to your PC. You need a connection to activate it; after that the app works for up to 7 days offline and renews itself when it connects again.

Can I move the license to another PC?

Yes. Release the license from your client area («Release PC» button) or from the app itself, and activate it on the new PC.

What happens if I change hardware?

Updating drivers or changing networks does not affect activation. If you replace the motherboard or reinstall Windows, release the license from your client area and activate it again.

Can I reinstall SRT Server?

Yes. Each installation key works for one installation; to install again click «Release key» in your client area.

Operation

Signals, network and recording

How many SRT channels can I receive?

It depends on the plan: Normal (1), Plus (up to 4), Pro and Monthly Pro (up to 8), plus one separate RTMP or RTMPS channel in all of them. Each channel runs on its own, so a failure in one signal does not affect the rest.

Does the Intercom work over 4G/5G mobile data?

Yes, but mobile networks with CGNAT need an external TURN server. See the step-by-step TURN server guide.

Does Web Streaming include audio?

No. The module prioritizes delay and sends video only. For return audio use the Intercom.

GPU or CPU to record with TC Record?

Preferably on the GPU (NVENC): the part of the graphics card that records is separate from the one that receives the channels, so it does not take anything away from them. A GeForce records up to 8 cameras at once; for more, record the rest on the CPU (x264) or use a professional card.

Which file do I open in Premiere or DaVinci Resolve?

When you stop recording, TC Record leaves in the session folder a sequence XML and a multicam XML for Premiere (File → Import) and an FCPXML for DaVinci Resolve (File → Import → Timeline). See the TC Record guide for the step by step.

How do I sync the cameras?

With the «Sync» button: open on your phone the page the App shows you (with a QR code), show it to each camera for a few seconds and apply the suggested delays. Without a phone, a hand clap or a clapperboard in front of the cameras also works.
